BURGENER STRENGTH - Snatch seminar
Mobility, Speed, Strength. Three attributes required to be a proficient Olympic Weightlifter.
In this one day seminar, we will dedicate time to each segment through the teachings of sport specific skills and drills as they relate to the Snatch.
Our mobility portion will leave our participants feeling secure in how to properly prime and prep their body to lift heavy weight overhead.
Through our tedious technique work, participants will gain the confidence to not only move through proper positions, but move through proper positions with speed!
The strength portion of the course is dedicated to teaching and performing variations of the traditional lifts, as well as the full movement. These drills and exercises will help build an athlete’s overall positional strength, which will lead to better numbers and more confidence in the snatch.
Timeline (9:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.):
9:30-10:00: Prep and Prime the Joints
10:00- 11:30: Burgener Warm up, Skill Transfer Exercises, High Hang Snatch
11:30- 12:00: Position work (above the knee, mid thigh, Floor)
13:00- 13:30: Prep and Prime the Joints
13:30- 15:00: Programmed Snatch Workout
15:00- 15:30: Review and Questions
None! All levels are welcome. We truly believe that advanced and/or beginner lifters can benefit from learning and relearning different teaching methods of the sport!
The default language for the Weightlifting L1 is English. In countries where there is a language barrier, a translator will be provided for real time translation in the lecture and small-group practical sessions.
